GEMS Backpack Collection

HAPPY SUMMER GEMS™:  Calling all GEMS™ as we begin collecting backpacks and school supplies for the children of HOPE SOUTH FLORIDA.  As in past years, you can help in several ways:  If you want to do the shopping here is a list of what is needed:  pens, pencils(#2), pencil pouches, crayons, colored markers (not colored pencils), highlighters (yellow), folders with pockets, serial notebooks(wide lines), packages of notebook filler paper, and erasers.  Best price on backpacks is “5 BELOW store on Commercial”. If you want us to do the shopping, send a check to our treasurer Sharon Merritt made payable to Grace Wesleyan Church (with GEMS on the memo line) 3200 Port Royale N   Apt # 808   Fort Lauderdale FL 33308-7804
We will gather in the Family Learning Center of Shepherd Of The Coast Church–address: 1901 East Commercial Blvd Fort Lauderdale FLafter the Sunday service August 13th to assemble.   School starts Monday August 21st.   For those that purchase supplies, they can be brought to Grace Church any service Saturday evening or Sunday morning and placed in the GEMS™ green box. Questions:  Barb Timmerman 954-566-9524
