Greetings Grace Wesleyan!
We will be having our next installment of the study on what it means to be a Christian in the Wesleyan tradition. We have been listening to the words of John Wesley through his sermons, and this week we are continuing as we hear his sermon, “Upon Our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount: Discourse Two.”
The journey thus far has been very enlightening as we are coming to realize that the movement that John Wesley began almost 300 years ago was based on a clear understanding of what a walk with Jesus really looks like. Many of us are seeing that we know precious little of what Wesley taught and meant, and therefore have not been taught the heritage of the faith we have come to know and love as Methodists. We are finding a renewed spirit and inspiration as we hear the words that encouraged and inspired the dedication to Jesus’ truths from John Wesley himself.
I invite you to join us this Thursday as we again hear from Wesley. We will meet in the library on the second floor of Shepherd of the Coast at 7:00pm. We do hope you will join us!
Grace and peace to you,
Pastor Myron
