Greetings Friends and Family of Grace Wesleyan!
It is so good for us to be God’s children and disciples of Jesus Christ!
This week we have seen a steady decline in the number of reported cases of COVID in Florida, and this is welcome news to us all! We all are looking forward to the day, hopefully not too far off, in which we can all come together for in-person worship on a Saturday or Sunday and fellowship as a body of believers! Many have been watching online and are anxious to gather in person with us! I thank all of you for your continued support, encouragement, and well-wishes as we navigate through these trying times!
Our church has experienced steady growth and attendance even through the latest surge! When the Delta variant spiked, our attendance numbers went down about 25%, but our online viewers have more than doubled! The word is getting out about Grace Wesleyan, and I know that all of you are to be credited for the expanding of our reach because you are telling folks about our new church! With the launch of our new website, www.gracewesleyan.org, and the coming of our social media platforms, the future is looking very bright for Grace Wesleyan!
We are excited about those signed up for the Adventures in Marriage retreat next weekend, Sept 10&11. There still is time to sign up, just go to www.aimclasses.org and enroll at the event being held at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church. It is listed by that location, but this is a Grace Wesleyan event! There is no cost, and Annette and I are excited to be participating with all the couples who will join us!
Besides the Men’s Bible Study on Mondays at 7pm, and the Pastor’s Bible Study on Tuesdays at 7pm, we are launching a dedicated study of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism on Thursday, September 23rd at 7pm. The Wesleyan Study will be every other Thursday evening, and you can come to any and all studies because each session will be a stand alone class. We will learn about John Wesley the man, we will hear his most famous sermons, and we will explore what Methodism originally set out to be and how it became the fastest growing revival movement in the modern Christian era. All are welcome to join us!
Our services this Labor Day weekend will be held on Saturday evening at 6:00pm, and on Sunday morning at 9:30am. We hope you will join us for Holy Communion weekend at one of the services! If you are traveling, please be safe!
Grace, peace, and the love of God be with you,
Pastor Myron
