Greetings, Family and Friends of Grace Wesleyan!
What a wonderful thing to be children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ!
Many things are happening these days at Grace Wesleyan, and the opportunities to be the hands, feet, and heart of Christ to our community are before us! Here are the things happening right now:
– Helping Hands Food Pantry is collecting items for their Thanksgiving Food Drive. The list of items can be found on our website in the Blue Box. Patrick and Donna will be at both the Saturday and Sunday services this weekend and next weekend to collect the items and to answer any questions.
– GEMS is collecting hoodies, hoodies, and more hoodies for donating to Hope South Florida. Perry Canan from HSF came and spoke to us at the GEMS meeting on 10/21 and he told us they are feeding 6,000+ meals per month right now. The needs are great, and GEMS is lending a hand! If you wish to donate any new hoodies, please reach out to Barbara or Doug Timmerman, or you can make a donation to GEMS via online giving through our website or via the offering by simply notating GEMS in the “for” line of your check!
– Operation Christmas Child, the collection of shoebox sized gift packages that is being coordinated by Sue Cogswell in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse is ongoing. This has been an annual event with many in our congregation for a lot of years. Sue will be at both services for the next couple of weeks with boxes, shopping lists, and to answer any questions!
Also, please see the Blue Box on our website for details about all of the above, and check out the different opportunities for study, spiritual growth, and learning about the heritage of our faith as Christians in the Wesleyan tradition!
I hope you all are keeping the church in prayer with the 30-Day prayer that is posted on our website. We need all of your prayers as we seek God’s plan for our future and His guidance as we grow into that future!
Our services are Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 930am. One of the big advantages of our Saturday evening service is that you can invite friends that maybe have another home church they attend on Sunday to come see what we are doing and it won’t take them away from their weekly worship at their home church! It’s a great way to invite people, and you could go to dinner together after service!
We hope you had a wonderful week, and we will see you this weekend!
Grace, peace, and safety to you!
Pastor Myron and Annette Rhodes
