Greetings Family and Friends of Grace Wesleyan!
Annette and I had a very busy trip to Little Rock, and are glad to be back home in Fort Lauderdale!
A special thanks to Rev. Larry Bergstrom for leading worship last weekend and to Mark Burton for leading the Bible study on the last two Tuesday evenings! About a dozen of us enjoyed the movie on Wednesday night at the Regal theater on Andrews as we watched the story of C.S. Lewis’ life in “The Most Reluctant Convert.” We had a very energizing evening on Thursday at the Wesley study, and more and more people are learning that John Wesley had some very insightful and important things to tell us!
We will have our usual services this weekend; Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 9:30am. We hope to see you there!
I want to remind everyone as well…PLEASE remember to set your clocks back at 2am Sunday morning (before going to bed Saturday). I remember myself showing up to church on Sunday one year in fall where I showed up for church an hour before everyone else! At least there was coffee!
Also at this week’s services, there will be an update from Dr. Fred Scarbrough on the “State of the Church” that we promised to do regularly. Please plan to stick around for a few minutes after the service to hear the latest!
Lastly I want to remind you to mark your calendars and invite some friends to join us on December 11th, for a pot-luck fellowship after the Saturday night worship service! It will be a Christmas themed event, and we hope to have everyone join us for a fun-filled time of good food, fellowship, music, laughter, and maybe a surprise or two!
I am honored to be your pastor…and Annette and I LOVE being a part of Grace Wesleyan!
Grace and peace to you,
Pastor Myron and Annette Rhodes
