Greetings in Christ!

We have begun a new year!  2022 us upon us, perhaps faster than any could have imagined a year ago.  Last year at this time, Annette and I were packing our house in Tallahassee to move here to Fort Lauderdale to take the pulpit at what was then the Wesleyan Fellowship Group.  We packed everything we owned into PODS and had them shipped to the warehouse in town because we did not have a home secured yet!  To say that it was a little concerning is an understatement!  We were sure God was calling us to this place, so we said goodbye to our household goods and loaded up to come on down.

This last year was filled with many new things.  We had never started a church from scratch, as we had always been to churches that were already fully formed.  It has been an adventure to work with Fred Scarbrough and the Leadership Council and all the members of what is now Grace Wesleyan, and we have enjoyed every day of it!  The challenges keep coming, and God keeps opening doors and bringing people, situations, and help to us at every turn!  It has been amazing to see the things God is doing through Grace Wesleyan, and we (Annette and I) are honored and blessed to be a part of this great work with you in Fort Lauderdale!

We are planning many new things for this year, and we hope you will make a point of being with us every step of the way.  We will have guest speakers, beginning with Dr. Ted Greer of Hope South Florida the last weekend of January, and Mr. John Riley in February.  We also are having special study programs to enhance our ability to reach others in our community with the message of Jesus Christ who redeems and transforms broken lives.  Those will include, but are not limited to, “Becoming a Contagious Christian” that begins this weekend after services, and the ongoing sermon series by Rev. John Wesley himself that are presented, studied, and discussed bi-weekly on Thursday evenings.  We hope you will join us for those, especially!

This is going to be a wonderful year to be a Christian, a Wesleyan, and a member of Grace Wesleyan, Fort Lauderdale!  We are glad to have you on the journey with us, and we encourage you to share our church with all of your friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and others you may meet!  God is blessing us greatly, and we are planning to share that blessing with as many people as possible!

Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we look forward to many more opportunities to worship, serve, study, pray, and follow Christ together!

Again, Happy New Year…and a grace filled 2022 to you!

Peace,

Myron and Annette Rhodes
