Greetings!
Many of our members have participated in the Habitat for Humanity projects. We have the first build event of this year coming up on Saturday. We apologize for the short notice this time, but there has not been a volunteer coordinator for about 3 months and the information is slow getting out due to people being spread thin at Habitat. This in no way diminishes the value of the work we do to build homes for families.
For those of you who are planning or are able to assist this weekend, please see the information below. Also, it is requested that we send the names of those who will be participating to the Habitat office by Thursday. PLEASE reply to this email as soon as possible to let me know if you will be attending so I can forward to the Habitat officials the names and numbers by then.
From the Habitat office:
I have attached the Habitat Broward Build Day Information sheet for each date for you to share with your volunteers. It includes all the pertinent information for the day – site address, arrival time, what to wear, etc. I have also attached the Volunteer Agreement, Waiver and Release of Liability. Please have every volunteer (who has not participated since the beginning of the year) complete and sign the form and bring it with them on February 19th.
I have also attached the Map with Driving Directions (and designated Parking Area) for you. Please share this with your volunteers as well so they get to the correct spot!
A few important items:
- The task for your scheduled day requires all volunteers to be 18 years of age or older to participate.
- All volunteers must arrive no later than 7:15 am. The day begins promptly at 7:30 am with a Morning Safety Meeting – all volunteers must be present for the safety meeting to participate in the day. Volunteers arriving after the safety meeting will be asked to leave.
Thank you all for your support of this very important service mission on behalf of Grace Wesleyan and Habitat for Humanity!
Peace,
Pastor Myron
