Greetings GEMS™!

The new year has begun, but as it does, we would like to give each GEM™ an accounting of what was accomplished in 2021:  
(1)  156 pairs of eyeglasses for Dr. Lang’s program for the homeless at Hope South Florida.  And we are still collecting!  
(2)  6167 diapers+ wipes for God’s Little Lambs and Hope South Florida.  We collected in May and December.  
(3)  Judy Ambrose’s shoe project resulted in 75-$15 Target Gift Cards that were part of the May diaper collection.  
(4)  August saw us fill 109 Backpacks with necessary school supplies plus T shirts w/ collars for the children of families working with Hope South Florida.
(5) October was our “hoodie” month as cooler weather set in.  The support was outstanding as 91 hoodies of all sizes were received.  

Two in-person meetings were held. Working around COVID has been a challenge; however the Holy Spirit has been at work to help us make 2021 a success! A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!

NOW FOR 2022:  

Hope South Florida’s shower program is in need of towels; these can be new or gently used. Bath towels and wash cloths, as well as laundry detergent. Donations may be at the Grace Wesleyan services on Saturday or Sunday. If you would prefer to have some GEMS™ do the shopping, you can use an offering envelope at the services and mark “GEMS” on the outside. Or, you can send your $$$ to: Sharon Merritt 3200 Port Royal Dr N Apt 808 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308-7804. Dr Ted Greer, CEO of Hope South Florida, will be preaching at Grace Church the weekend of January 29th & 30th. This is a perfect opportunity to bring your bath supplies!
