Greetings Family and Friends of Grace Wesleyan!

I purposely waited until today to send out this week’s update so that I could acknowledge 9/11 and its impact on our country.  Those of us who were adults or even teenagers when the original attack occurred can tell you exactly what we were doing when we heard about it or saw it on the television.  It was traumatic, unbelievable, and left a sense of dread and fear in many people, my wife and I included.  We watched in horror as the second plane flew into the towers, and since Annette was a long-time employee of American Airlines at the time, it struck the heart of our home.  The day was, and still is, unforgettable.

May we, as a church body and as individuals, take a moment out of our day today to say a prayer for those who lost loved ones that day, and to acknowledge the impact it had on virtually every American.  The impact is real, and the affects linger on.  May God help us as we remember what happened twenty years ago today.

As a reminder, we will have worship services this weekend, beginning with tonight’s service at 6:00 pm, and tomorrow morning at 9:30 am.  We hope to have you join us in person or online.

Grace, peace, and comfort to you all,

Pastor Myron and Annette Rhodes
